SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital has organized parent teacher meeting for 2nd and 3rd year BAMS graduates parents on 12th November 2022. Stage programme was started with invocation by Ms . Ramya Rao and Ms Shravya pai. Principal Dr.Mamatha K.V. presided the programme. Medical superintendant Dr.Nagaraj S, Dean Academics Dr.Veerakumara K, Associate Deans Dr.Chaithra Hebbar, Dr. Ravindra Angadi, 3rd year class advisor Dr.Nagarathna Raybagi, 2nd year class advisor Dr.Saritha T were present on the dias.

Parent teacher meeting was intended to improve the eductaional quality and outcome of under graduates students .While addressing the gathering Dr.Nagaraj through his words enligthed the parents regarding the due concern of education on total development of a student not merely an academic excellence. Dr.Mamatha KV during her presidential address spoke regarding the inspiration behind conducting this meeting also emphasised the role of parents in the life of students. Need of overall personality development along with academic excellence of medical students she also emphasised about the vigilance of parents towards the influence of peer group and importance of inculcating good habit at this vulnerable age.

In this programme updates regarding curricular and co-curricular activities, examination aspects, cultural aspects, and sports updates were given by Dr.Veerakumara K, Dr.Shrikanth P, Dr.Sushma and Dr.Sandesh Kumar respectively. This was followed by open interaction with parents. Then guest lecture by Former Principal of Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Mrs.Sapna Ganesh was arranged on the topic ‘Role of parents in their children’s academic and professional journey’. Dr. Nagarathna Raybagi delivered vote of thanks and Associate Professor, Dept of Samhitha and Siddhantha Dr.Arhanth Kumar compered the programme.
