On May 7, 2025, the Department of Kaumarabhritya at SDMIAH organized an in-house guest lecture for KB POST GRADUATE scholars in the PG tutorial classroom from 02:30 pm to 04:30 pm. The session, attended by 17 PG scholars, featured Dr. KIRANJEET PANNU, Consultant Pediatrician, as the guest speaker. The guest speaker was warmly welcomed by Dr.Soumya, II PG scholar. Mam has elaborated on how to do the diagnosis of neonatal jaundice as well as the treatment protocol in detail.

The departmental staff, including Dr.Bharathi (Professor and overall incharge coordinator and Dean, Department of ShalyaTantra) Dr. Reena K (Professor and HOD, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Girish Kumar (Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Srilakshmi (Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), Dr. Priyanka H.S.  (Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), and Dr. Pravitha P (Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya), also attended the session. Postgraduate scholars actively engaged in discussions with the speaker on the importance of phototherapy, other diagnosing tools and complications of neonatal jaundice. The interactive session proved highly beneficial, as Dr. Kiranjeet pannu offered comprehensive insights into accurate diagnostic approaches for early detection and intervention. The session was exceptionally well received, earning a 100% excellent rating from all participants.
