Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Dept of Prasooti tantara and Stree rogaand Youth Red Cross Unit in association with Udyavara Gram Panchayat held a special awareness program on Breast cancer to the Ashaworkers and Anganawadi teachers of the Panchayat on October 23 as part of World Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2021.Dr. Ramadevi G Head of Prasooti tantara and Stree roga, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheeswara Ayurveda College, Udupi delivered a talk on breast cancer during the event. The cause, symptoms, diagnostic methods along with diet and regime of the breast cancer was taught during the session.Dr. Mohammed Faisal, Head of the Youth Red Cross Unit and Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna, Sri DharmasthalaManjunatheshwara Ayurveda College Udupi addressed the gathering and said about Panchayatresponsibility in the early diagnosis of breast cancer by Asha workers and Primary Health Centre staff of the village. Mrs. Rosalyn, Ashaworker and Mrs. Sunita Anganawadi teacher were also present during the event. The session began with invoking the blessings of Almighty by Dr. Adhrija and Dr. Pooja Shetty compered the program.
