Vanamahotsava

‘Vanamahotsava -2018’ program was celebrated at S.D.M. College of Ayurveda, Udupi on 4th July 2018, which was organized by N.S.S., Department of Dravyaguna. The programme was preceded under the president ship of Dr. Suchetha Kumari (Dean, U.G. Studies, SDMCA, Udupi), Dr. RavindranathShanbhag, President, Human Rights Protection Foundation, Udupi was invited as guest of honour, Dr. Vidyalakshmi K, NSS Officer, Dr. Shrikanth P., Head of the department of Dravyaguna and convener of Herb Garn committee, Dr. Suma V. Mallya were all present in the celebration. The guest of honour Dr. RavindranathShanbhag emphasized on ‘Importance of Western Ghats Plant’ as major concerned issues the green belt, other issues and concerns were raised on many new projects which will be taken up by private agencies with respect to connecting major rivers of western ghat and other main rivers of Karnataka and its ill impact and our role was addressed for the same. Presidential speech was given by Dr. Suchetha Kumari, which highlighted on the growing of plants which inturn leads to protection of Green belt and encouraged the gathering to plant as many saplings as possible. Vote of thanks was done by Dr. Mohammed Faisal, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Dravyaguna and the master ceremony was done by Dr. Swathi B.H., PG Scholar, Dept, of Dravyaguna.
