NSS Unit of our college has conducted Swaccha Sagar Abhiyana – 2022 on 17/09/2022 at Padukare Beach in association with Kadekar Gram Panchayath and Team Nation First. The 31 volunteers of I BAMS have actively cleaned around 200meters of the beach under the jurisdiction of Kadekar Grama Panchayat. NSS Program Officer, Dr. Vidyalakshmi K had organised the program with the support and coordination of Dr. Yogeesha Acharya, Dr. Shrinidhi Dhanya and Dr. Mahalakshmi M S. Vice President of Kadekar Grama Panchayat, Mr. Naveen Shetty, Ward Member Mr. Vasant Kulal, PDO Mr. Siddhesh and other panchayat members were present on this occasion. The members of Team Nation First (R), Udupi have joined hands in the program. 20 members of the Team Nation First (R), 10 people from the surrounding locality have also added their contribution in cleaning the beach. Around one tempo full of garbage was piled in garbage bags and the responsibility of management of the waste was taken up by the Grama Panchayat.
