SDM college of Ayurveda & Hospital, Udupi had organized Parent – Teacher meeting for the parents of 1 st BAMS students on 25 th March 2023. The stage program was started with invocation by the students of 1 st BAMS, Ms. Shreya, Ms. Sharanya & Ms. Sakshi. The dignitaries on the dias were Dr Mamatha K V, Principal SDMCA, Udupi; Dr Nagaraj S, Medical Superintendent, SDMAH, Udupi; Dr Veerakumara K, Dean, Student welfare, SDMCA, Udupi; Dr Raveendra Angadi, Associate Dean, Student welfare, SDMCA, Udupi; Dr Ravi K V, Class advisor, SDMCA, Udupi.

The welcome address was given by Dr Ravi K V. Updates of the curricular and cocurricular activities were briefed by Dr Veerakumara K. Updates regarding examination aspect were given by Dr Nithin. Dr Sandesh Shetty spoke about the updates of sports activity and Dr Mahalakshmi M S updated cultural activities.

Dr Nagaraj S addressed the gathering where he emphasized on overall development of the students and encouraged them to involve in both academics and extra-curricular activities equally. He also advocated parents to get to know the roommates and friends of their respective wards so that they will have the better clarity about the progress of their wards. Dr Mamatha K V in her presidential address briefed about the discipline and behavior of the 1 st BAMS batch and emphasized on preserving the culture and dignity of SDM. She stated the importance of PT meetings and the connection of Student – Teacher – Parent and insisted parents to attend future meetings to keep this connection intact. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Raveendra Angadi. Master of ceremony was done by Dr Mahalakshmi MS.
