A CME on “Essentiality of Laboratory Tests” was conducted by Department of PG and PhD studies in Roga Nidana and Vikruti Vijnana on 22.07.2021 at 2pm for PG scholars of SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi. The programme was chaired by Mr.Naveenchandra, Senior Research Officer, SDM Centre for Research,  Dr.Prasanna N Mogasale, Associate professor Department of Roga Nidana and Vikruti Vijnana who welcomed the Resource person Prof. Shivanand Nayak, Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Subbaiah Institute Of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga, Director, Shivani Diagnostics and Research Centre, Udupi with floral greetings. Prof. Shivanand Nayak then addressed the gathering about the essentiality of various laboratory tests with their significance in the varied number of disease manifestations and the application of Laboratory tests in day to day medical practice. There was a brief question and answer session at the end of the guest lecture where scholars interacted enthusiastically with the guest speaker. The session was concluded with Dr.Mamatha. K. V, Principal felicitating the guest speaker in the presence of  Dr. Nagaraj. S, MS, SDMAH, Udupi on the dias. The programme was moderated by Dr.Karthika. Dr. Abhitha prayed the almighty, Dr. Pallavi welcomed the gathering and Dr. Akshatha delivered the vote of thanks. All the PG scholars participated including faculty members.
