Women cell, SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital in association with sexual harassment redressal committee, NSS unit and district legal service authority, Udupi organized an awareness program on ‘laws on safety and protection of women in workplace on 12/01/24 held in college auditorium.

The resource person of the program Mr Srinivas Upadhya, member, District Legal Service Authority, Udupi spoke on various laws pertaining to preserve women’s right. Detail information regarding the causes of harassment of woman at working place, preventive measures as well as legal aid was heighlighted.  The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr Mamatha K.V, Principal, SDMCA Udupi. Dr Veera Kumara K, Dean Administration and Dr Shrilatha Kamath, Dean Academics were present on the stage. The program was witnessed by female employees of College, Hospital, Research and Pharmacy. 

The program was rendered by Shrilakshmi, member women cell. Dr Likhitha D N, convener Women Cell and Dr Thejaswi, member sexual harassment redressal committee were the coordinators of  the program.
