Responsibility of looking after the sapling they have planted

Vanamahotsava – 2021 was celebrated at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Kuthpady, Udupi on 5th August 2021 by the NSS unit and Dept. of Dravyaguna. The chief guest Mr. Sunil H.R., Senior Manager, Union Bank of India, Kuthpady Branch inaugurated the program by planting ‘Ashoka Plant’ an endangered species. The president of the function Dr. Mamatha K.V., Princpal, SDM College of Ayurevda, Udupi has given the responsibility of looking after the sapling planted by I BAMS students throughout their education in the campus. In her presidential address, quotted that those plants will be welcoming the students after several years also. Dr. Vidyalakshmi K., NSS program officer briefed the 5 years project of one plant by one student. Dr. Nagaraj S, Medical Superintendent, SDM Ayurveda Hospital, Udupi. Dr. Veerakumara K., Dean Academics were the guest of honour in the program. Dr. S.R. Moharer, Professor and Head, Dept. of Shareera Kriya welcomed the gathering. Dr. Suma Mallya, Associate Professor, Dept. of Dravyaguna delivered vote of thanks. NSS volunteer Miss Roja mastered the ceremony. Ms Pavana, Ms Preethi began the program with invocation. Dr. Mohammed Faisal, Associate Professor, Dept. of Dravyaguna, Dr. Niveditha Shetty, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Dravyaguna, Mr. Adarsh Shetty, NSS Co-ordinator, Dr. Likhita D.N., Dept of Basic Principles, Dr. Ravi K.V., Dept. of Shareera Kriya and NSS volunteers have actively participated in the smooth conduction of the program.
