Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Udupi celebrated Shishyopanayana and freshers day on 11th December, 2023. Holy rituals began in the hospital from 5.30 am. Dhanwantari homa followed by Dhanwantari Pooja was performed at Hospital and College premises respectively. The event was followed by stage program. Dr. Sathyanarayana Bhat, Retd. Principal, GAMC, Mysore was the chief guest, who enlightened the students about the prevalence of life style disorders and their management with Ayurveda principles. Dr. Mamatha K V presided over the event. She guided students to inculcate preaching of Ayurveda along with focusing on innovations. Dr. Nagaraj S, Medical Superintendent, SDMAH, Udupi welcomed the gathering, introduced the guest and presented the relevance of Shishyopanayana to the newly admitted students. Dr. Rajaneesh V Giri, U G dean, graced the occasion. Dr. Veerakumara K, Dean Administration read the best wish messages. Dr. Shrilatha Kamath, Dean Academics administered the oath to the newly admitted students. Dr. Ashok Kumar B N, Dean PG studies presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Kavya and Dr. Rashmi N R, Asst Professors compered for the event.
