77th Republic Day was celebrated at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda College, Hospital and Research Center, Udupi. As the chief guest, Alumni of SDM College of Ayurveda and Physician, Durga Clinic Dr Yogish Shetty graced the occasion with his presence and hoisted the national flag. He addressed the gathering focusing on the young Ayurveda doctors, who play a vital role in advancement of Ayurveda. Hence it is really necessary that they understand their responsibility towards the society.

Dr. Mamatha K.V., in her presidential speech highlighted the importance of our constitution and said that it is essential for everyone to understand, uphold and follow the principles of our constitution to the wellbeing of our nation. Dr. Nagaraj S., Medical Superintendent, Dr. Srikanth P, Dean, PG & Ph.D. Studies, Dr. Prathviraj Puranik, Dean UG Studeis, Dr. Vidyalakshmi K., Dean, Community Service, teaching and non-teaching staff and students, with their presence made this a successful event.

Physical Education Teacher Mr. Anish conducted the flag hoisting and flag salutation ceremony. Student Union Leader Mr. Shivalingappa assisted with the flag hoisting. National Service Scheme Coordinator Dr. Srinidhi Dhanya coordinated the program.

Mr Sai Sreevasta welcomed the gathering, Ms. Sreelakshmi delivered the vote of thanks, and Ms Navya compered the ceremony. On the same occasion, patriotic songs were sung by the college students.
