Postgraduate Induction Program “Samskara” 2024
The Postgraduate Induction Program “Samskara” was conducted on 28/11/24 by S.D.M College of Ayurveda and Research Center, Kuthpady, Udupi in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Department of PG and Ph.D studies SDMCAHRC, Udupi. The new post graduation aspirants of 2024-25 were welcomed and familiarized with the various activities to be held during their post graduation journey.
The presidential address was given by the Principal, Dr Mamatha K V. The Scholars were inspired to make use of the facilities well and emerge as exceptional Physicians, researchers, entrepreneur and contribute in various sectors of society. She motivated the new batch by emphasizing their quintessential role in enhancing the standards of the institution which is awarded first rank by Quality council of India among the private Ayurvedic colleges in India. Dr Nagraj, Medical Superintendent, addressed the PG aspirants about the renowned institution being the collective result of the hard work of eminent senior physicians. Thus, students should consider themselves highly previlaged to be a part of the institutional great legacy and make use of its facilities at its best. He also advised not to limit themselves to their respective specialization but also indulge in interdepartmental discussions and enrich their knowledge and emerge as asset to the medical fraternity and society.
The program was also graced by Dr Veerakumara, Administrative Head and Dr Ashok Kumar B N, Dean PG and PhD studies, SDMCAHRC, Udupi. Dr Arun Kumar, Associate professor, Department of Roganidana welcomed the gathering. PG scholars Dr Maheshwari and Dr Manjushree offered invocation to Lord Manjunatheshwara. Students introduced themselves to the gathering. Senior PG scholars shared their experiences in the campus and gave their wishes to the new aspirants.
The vote of thanks was proposed by program coordinator, Dr Sahana Shankari, Associate professor, Department of Kaumarabrithya. The program was compered by Dr Saumya Bhat, Associate Professor, Department of Swasthavrittha.
