Udupi/ Malpe: NSS Annual special camp “Abhyudaya” organized by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research Centre, Kuthpady, Udupi was inaugurated on 31 December 2025 by lighting the lamp, at Hayagreeva Sabha Bhavana, Tekkatte.
Dr Vidyalakshmi K, Dean, Community services, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research centre, Kuthpady, Udupi, presided the program. She spoke about Knowledge, Experience and Attitude, while addressing the volunteers.
Chief Guest Mr. Santosh Kumar, Panchayat development officer, Gram Panchayat, Thekkatte, spoke about utilizing these 7 days to gain as much of knowledge and experience form the locality. Mr Heriya Master, President of Kailasa Kala Sangha ensured that all sorts of support will be provided for the volunteers during the camp.
Sri Subrahmanya Bhat, Associate Dean, NSS Unit, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research centre, Kuthpady, Udupi, urged the volunteers to focus on self-improvement, extend a helping hand to others, and work towards collective growth and prosperity. Dr. Srinidhi Dhanya B S, NSS officer, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research centre, Kuthpady, Udupi, gave the keynote address. Dr Mahalakshmi M S, Mr Anish, Youth Red cross and NSS members were also present in the event. The Master of Ceremony by volunteers Ms. Ananya, Mr Siddesh K M, Welcome address and vote of thanks were done by the NSS volunteers, Ms. Neha Bhat, Ms. Bhavana respectively. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Mamatha K.V., Principal SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research Centre, Kuthpady, Udupi.
