National level seminar – ‘AGNI MANTHANA – 2024’
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Udupi conducted one day National level seminar in commemoration of the birth day of Late Mathrushree Shree Ratnamma Heggde, a firm believer of Ayurveda and traditional healing techniques. The seminar named Agni Manthana – 2024 is conducted to imply the role of Agni in Digestion and Metabolism as per Ayurveda and in current science.
Dr. Srinivasulu K, IFS, AYUSH Commissioner, Govt. of Karnataka was the chief guest and inaugurator. After inaugurating the session spoke about regional Ayurveda practitioners contribution in the promotion and development of Ayurveda system of medicine, teaching institutions of Ayurveda have significant role in bring out responsible student community and promoting Ayurveda and to make is reachable to common public department of AYUSH in collaboration with Ayurveda academic institution an social media is trying to spread the awareness about health.
District AYUSH Officer Dr. Sathish Acharya came over and wished success entire program on this occasion and Dept. of Kriya Shareera unveiled ‘Dhananjaya’ e-souvenir.
The inaugural function was presided by Dr. Mamatha K.V, Principal, SDM college of Ayurveda, in her presidential address she said that SDM institution is regularly providing essential knowledge about Ayurveda to general public through social media. Staff and students of the institution are determined in this regard and always ready for the service.
Dr. Nagaraj S, Medical Superintendent, SDM Ayurveda Hospital welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory speech. Chief Secretary of the ‘Agni Manthana’ seminar Dr. Sudhindra R. Moharer proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Arun Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Roganidana, Dr. Kavya, Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya were the masters of the ceremony.
Scientific sessions were conducted later were Vd. Upendra Dixit, RAV, New Delhi, Dr. Anandalakshmy, Professor, Dept. of Shareera Kriya, Govt. Ayurveda College, Kannur and Dr. Prasanna N. Mogasale, Asso. Professor, Dept. of Roganidana, SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi are the resource persons. More than 400 delegates participated, total 250 oral and poster presentations caught the attention of the delegates.
