Inauguration of Students’ Council 2025-26 was held on 04/07/2025 at our campus. Sri Hariram Shankar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Udupi was the chief guest and the dignitaries, Dr. Mamatha K. V., Principal, Dr. Nagaraj S., Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shrikanth P., Dean, PG & Ph.D Studies, Dr. Prathviraj Puranik, Dean UG Studies, Dr. Chaithra, Asso. Dean, Administration accompanied the chief guest along with the office bearers- Mr. Shivalingappa- President, Students’ Council, Ms. Dhanyatha – General Secretary, Yajnesh Darbar – PG President and Dr. Deeksha Jogi – PG Vice President.

Sri Hariram Shankar stated on the qualities of leadership and how to inculcate them. He spoke about the similarities between doctors and police, highlighting how both these professions are meant to solve the problems of the people. He went on to give his personal example of how to move ahead in life, he narrated how he cracked the UPSC successfully in the fifth attempt. He also urged all of the students and youngsters not to take drugs and narcotics due to curiosity as it ruins lives, careers and families. He gave many more insights and also assured everyone that he will be there in town if anyone needed his help.

Principal, Dr. Mamatha K.V. congratulated newly appointed office bearers and entrusted them with the responsibility of embodying and promoting the college’s vision and mission. She affirmed that the leaders must guide the institution towards a productive learning environment. Personal and institutional progress should be continuously assessed, strategies must be refined and these contribute in both health sector and success of the college.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Mr. Shivalingappa. The names of newly appointed office bearers of UG and PG Council were announced by Dr Prathviraj Puranik and Dr. Shrikanth P respectively. Dr. Chaithra executed the oath taking ritual. The former President of students’ council Mr. Gurugovinda H.U. handed over the annual reports of the year 2024-25 to the newly appointed President- Mr. Shivalingappa and General Secretary- Ms. Dhanyatha followed by distribution of council badges by dignitaries. Mr. Shivalingappa shared the council’s plan for the year 2025-26.

Ms. Dhanyatha conveyed vote of thanks and the programme was called off by singing the National Anthem. Ms. Manasi D. Jeere mastered the ceremony and the programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Punith P.
