“ANVESHANA 2024”
IQAC –Research, Innovation and Extension Committee of SDM college of Ayurveda Udupi in association with Government of Karnataka, Department of AYUSH and Government Ayurveda research centre, Mysuru has organized one day seminar on Research Methodology And Medical Statistics “Anveshana 2024” at Bhavaprakasha auditorium of the institution on 12/02/2024. This seminar was mainly for the I PGs focusing on RGUHS format of synopsis writing.
Totally 192 PG scholars from various institutions have registered and attended the seminar.
The inaugural programme was started at 9 AM which was presided by Dr Mamatha K V, Principal of the institution and Dr L N Shenoy, Asst director of Government Ayurveda research center, Mysore was the chief guest and Dr Nagaraj S, MS of the hospital was the guest of honor.
There were 5 sessions in the seminar.
I Session was by Dr Ravikrishna S, Associate Dean, Research, Innovation and Extension Committee, SDM college of Ayurveda Udupi on the topic- “Scopes and areas of research”
II and III Sessions were by Dr M S Krishnamurthy, Prof and HOD, Department of RS &BK, Alvas Ayurveda medical college, Moodbidri on the topic “ Synopsis writing as per RGUHS format”
IVSession was by Dr Gopal Marate, Prof and HOD, Dept of bio chemistry and molecular biology, University of Mysuru on the topic “Art of referencing”
V Session was by Dr L N shenoy, Asst director, Government ayurveda research center, Mysuru on the topic “Application of medical statistics in Ayurveda research”
The resource persons gave guidance on different areas of synopsis writing like, the areas from where research topics can be selected, the method of review of literature, contents for different headings of synopsis, method of writing references, selection of appropriate statistical test for different types of studies. The PGs who attended seminar got insights on different aspects of synopsis and they may be confidant in writing basic information in the synopsis related to their study independently.
The formal valedictory programme presided by Dr Naveenchandra N H, SRO, SDM center fr research in Ayurveda and allied sciences, Udupi. Dr L N Shenoy, Asst director of Government Ayurveda research center, Mysore was the chief guest and Dr Gopal Marate, Prof and HOD, Dept of bio chemistry and molecular biology, University of Mysuru was the guest of honor. The programmee ended with national anthem at 5.15 PM and certificate distribution there after
