The department of postgraduate studies in Shalyatantra of SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research Centre, Udupi conducted a workshop on Viddhagnikarma on 11/09/2025. This workshop was organised at the hospital, in which around 80 patients suffering from low back pain, neck pain, migraine, vision disturbance, heel pain etc were treated by renowned Dr. Chandrakumar Deshmukh from Pune. Principal Dr Mamatha KV and Medical Superintendent Dr Nagaraj S. were This workshop was attended by more than 103 practitioners and PG scholars from all over India and abroad.

Inaugurating the workshop emphasized on making such affordable and scientific treatments popular among public so that more and more people can be benefitted.

The workshop was headed by Dr Rajneesh V Giri, Head of Department of Shalyatantra and coordinated by Dr Prashanth K of the same Department. Dr. Sahana Kamath, Assistant Professor and Dr. Subhas Bhaktha, Assistant Professor compered the program.
