79th Independence Day was celebrated at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Hospital and Research Centre, Kuthpady, Udupi. As the chief guest, Wing Commander Bhojaraj Manipal graced the occasion with his presence and hoisted the national flag. He addressed the gathering highlighting the Pre-Independence struggle to the students.
The program was presided by the Principal of the college Dr. Mamatha K.V. in her presidential speech she conveyed her best wishes on the occasion of Independence day.
Medical Superintendent of SDM Ayurveda Hospital Dr. Nagaraj S., Dean UG Studies Dr. Prathviraj Puranik, Dean Community Services Dr. Vidyalakshmi K, Dr. Muralidhar R., General Manager, SDM Ayurveda Pharmacy, teaching and non-teaching staff and students, with their presence made this a successful event. Mr. Shivalingappa and Ms. Shrusti G.S. assisted with the flag-hoisting ceremony.
Final year students Ms. Dhanyatha delivered the welcome speech, Ms. Nagashri. delivered the vote of thanks and Ms. Navya G was the master of ceremony. The event was followed by a street play on anti-ragging. On the same occasion, patriotic songs were sung by the college students.
