
Life Skills Training Program
The IQAC and Dean of Community Service, through the NSS and Rotaract units of SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital & Research Centre, Kuthpady, Udupi, in association with the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka, and the Central Epidemiology Department, NIMHANS, Bangalore, jointly organized a Life Skills Training Program for all UG students under the guidance of Dr. Mamatha K.V., Principal, on July 20, 2025.
The training program aimed at equipping students with essential life skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, leadership, stress management, and decision-making — crucial for personal and professional growth in the healthcare field.
The resource persons Dr. Aniruddha, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, SDMCAH&R, Udupi, Ms. Shyamala Kiran, Youth Counselors, Yuva Spandana Kendra, Udupi, and Ms. Sunitha Youth Change Agents, Yuva Spandana Kendra, Udupi conducted highly interactive and insightful sessions that were well-received by the participants.
Dr. Vidyalakshmi, Dean Community Services, was present during the event and encouraged active involvement of student. Dr. Rashmi, NSS member and coordinator of the program, played a key role in organizing and coordinating the event, ensuring its smooth execution. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and positive feedback from students.
