Fire and safety training program was organised at SDMCAH & RC, Udupi in association with fire and disaster management unit Udupi on 26/05/2025 for the staff of SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital, Pharmacy, Hostel and Research Centre.

The Principal of the college Dr. Mamatha K.V. addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of the training at various levels.

The resource person for the program was Mr. Vinayaka U. Kalghutkar, District Fire Officer, Udupi. He provided training on different types of fire, the use of various fire extinguishers, and the steps to be followed during a fire incident.
The coordinator of the program and Chairman of the College Safety Committee, Dr. Ravi K.V., welcomed the gathering. Dr. Kavya from the Department of Kaumarabhritya served as the Master of Ceremony, and Dr. Subhas Bhakta delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Nagaraj S., Medical Superintendent of the hospital, along with other dignitaries, was present during the program.

During the training program management of fire incident emergency service use of fire extinguisher and other important aspects related to fire incident was trained to the participants.
