National Youth Day and Blood Donation Camp has been organised  at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda, Kuthpady, Udupi on 31/01/2023 by the Youth Red Cross Unit and NSS Unit of the Institution in association with Udupi District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, District Health and Family Welfare Department, Udupi. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Nagabhushan Udupa H, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Udupi by lighting the lamp and offering flowers to photo of Swami Vivekananda. The winners of the The program was presided over by Dr. Mamatha K V, Principal, SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi. Dr. Veenakumari, Blood Bank Officer, District Hospital Udupi encouraged the youth to donate the blood to save the life of the needy. Dr. Chidananda Sanju, Udupi District AIDS Prevention and Control Officer stressed the need of bringing AIDS to Zero in the district. Dr. Vasudeva Upadhyaya, Udupi Taluk Health Officer, Dr. Veerakumara K, Dean Academics, SDMCA Udupi,Mr Satheesh Rao, Senior Health Inspector, Mr Mahabaleshwar, District program coordinator, Dr. Mohammed Faisal, Head, Red Cross Unit, Dr. Vidyalakshmi K, NSS Program Officer, Dr. S R Moharer, Head Community Service committee, members Dr. Anirudh, Dr. Yogeesha Acharya and other staff members, UG, PG, Interns were present on this occasion. Mr Sampat Shetty and team from Dr B B Hegde college, Kundapura, Mr Pratham Poojari and team from N S A M college, Nitte and Mr Sumedh Navuda and team from Shri Madva Vaadiraja institute of Technology, Bhanatkal, received first, second and third cash prize respectively for the short film competition conducted during the program. About 75 units of blood was collected from the donors including staff, students and the public.
