The 23rd SHISHYOPANAYANA of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda College, Udupi was held in the presence of students, teachers and parents with Dhanvantari Homam held during morning in SDM hospital. The assembly program that followed began with Vedhaghosa by the students. Dr. Mamata K.V., Principal made introductory remarks on the importance given to rituals in Indian culture and welcomed all the gathering saying that upanayana samskara will increase the value of students

Swami Viveka Chaitanyanandji, Ramakrishna Tapovana, Polali, Mangalore, who was the chief guest of the program, said that if spiritual principles are adopted in life, there will be all-round development. Ideal persons like Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa suggested to follow the lifestyle and principles of Swami Vivekananda.Then the newly appointed S.D.M. The Secretaries of the Educational Society Mr. Dr. Satishchandra S. was honored.

He informed that he should make good use of all the facilities of this college and contribute to the society as an excellent doctor. On the same occasion, “ An Illustrative Text book on Panchakarma“ by Dr. Padmakirana, Associate professor, Department of Panchakarma was released.

Assistant Student Welfare Dean Dr. Ravindra Angadi recited the message. Student Welfare Dean Dr. Veerakumar K. administered the Pledge to the students. Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Nagaraj S. conducted the felicitation. Deputy Dean for P.G studies Dr. Sucheta Kumari, Assistant Student Welfare Dean Dr. Chaitra Hebbar was present on the stage.
